Dr. Joshua Stein

Instructor

Dr. Stein is the current president of The Minnesota Society for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is the clinical director of PrairieCare’s Medical Office Building and works with patients aged 4 to 74. His practice includes clinic, partial hospital and inpatient psychiatric work. Since Governor Walz placed the “Shelter in Place” order related to Covid-19 he has been a vocal advocate for the mental health needs of children, appearing on NPR, Twin Cities Live and KS95 radio. He attended UMN for Medical School, residency and fellowship; and continues to “Row the Boat” as a gopher fan. Additionally he is part of the award winning Psychiatric Assistance Line and providing psychiatric education and support to primary care physicians throughout the state to expand access to psychiatric resources.
